Hello EPR Fans!

This website has been in action for over 8 months now, and as with everything the time has come for an upgrade. Pressure from schooling and exam have slowed the progress on all of this, but I am going as fast as I can, and I thought some of you may be interested to hear what I am building into the website at the moment - and I would also like to hear some of your opinions. This website update won't be online until the summer unfortunately due to educational commitments.

Here is a rough list of some of the main aspects that are influencing the new design:

- Integrating user system allowing more volunteers at the refuge to have an influence on the content on the website. This not only allows content to be updated more often and more content to be put online on a regular basis - but also my knowledge of the animals is fairly limited! Giving these tools to lots more people allows much more content to appear online from the people who actually deal with the animals!
- We want to hear from you! The new website will have significantly improved comments features, so we can hear your opinions on what's going on at the refuge!
- Generally better design / style of the website. Bit too much pink in my opinion!

The new website is based more about us relaying information to you, and you giving us your feedback - so it's very important that if you have any ideas for the website please comment on this entry or in the comments section of the website!

Hello everyone!

Unfortunately the snow and ice of the easter weekend caused us to cancel our Easter Sunday open day, but the open day has been rescheduled to Sunday 6th April. Please come along and support the refuge on this day and try and spread the word if you can! We don't have long to advertise!

Hello everyone! I'm pleased to announce that the 2008 Exotic Pet Refuge open days are now online, the first of the year as always being on Easter Sunday!

We will be seeing some changes coming to the website soon which I am working on at the moment - many thanks go to the people who gave their feedback on the current website, it has been a great help!

Despite the wind, our second till last open day of 2007 was a great success! Together we all managed to raise over £3000 - we’d like to thank all of the volunteers and fundraisers who helped out, and all of the people who came and donated so generously!

At the open day, many people were impressed to see the work done to the otter pond, which has now been lined with fibreglass. Unfortunately, the otters seemed quite cautious about all of the noise and didn’t come out to investigate!

Over £300 pounds were also raised at a separate event in Spalding, where a dog show took place in which all of the proceeds were donated to the refuge! The owls from the refuge even took a break from our open day to see the show, with Sandy taking half of them up to help out with their brilliant work!

With only one open day left in the year, we’d like to invite you all to come to it on October 14th – this is our last one until Easter next year, and we need to raise a lot of funds to survive over the winter!

Hi everyone, and I'm pleased to welcome you all to the brand new EPR Website! We've put a lot of work into this and hope you like it!

As well as the large design overhall, we also have a brand new "Our Animals" section, where you can find out lots more information about some of the animals at the Refuge! We will be regularly updating this section with new animals, and also adding more of the animals which we are currently housing.

Please keep checking this news page, as we will be regularly updating it with information about the latest goings-on at the refuge!
